Percentage of comfrey to the mix

Recently I have had several calls asking the question, how much comfrey is in each pot?

Well here is the low down.

In the standard comfrey mix its usually between 3-5% of the whole mix.  But more recently I have decided to increase the dosage to attend to the demand for pain relief over the Winter months.  Now this will mean for example in my previous mix poured in Feb this year it was 4% comfrey leaf & 6% comfrey root so in actual fact the ratio of comfrey mix is 10%.

The stock currently on the shelf in my June pour is a total of 12%, that is, 6.5% comfrey leaf/flower & 5.5% comfrey root.

If you believe you have a need for a particular dosage contact me and I can oblige but you need about 6 weeks preparation before pour.

The calendula on the other hand requires a different ratio, it is about 4-5% comfrey leaf, 2-3% calendula & 1% nettle.  This is more about healing the dermis than attending to pain.  This is a more comforting ratio.
