NatureByFeathers Organic Comfrey Ointment a topical balm for relief and skin repair - 50g glass jar and 50g tin.  Perfect for the traveller or gardener to help in healing all those scratches and sunburnt skin.

Calendula and Nettle are two herbs that greatly assist in the healing of wounds and rashes. Combined with the healing properties of comfrey root this mix can assist in the remedy for scratches, boils and rashes. Particularly effective for post sunburn treatment and may help to soothe and reduce inflammation associated with atopic dermatitis [eczema].

Comfrey Ointment can be used to assist in the relief of muscle soreness, strains, bruises and sprains and minor irritations and injuries like mosquito bites and scratches. 

Comfrey is well known in the healing of torn ligaments, surgical scars and promotes the regeneration of skin tissue.

The ointment is also a perfect consistency mix for massage helping to relief soreness.

The ointment is NOT cream based and has an expected one-year shelf life if kept out of sunlight in a cool dry place.

We use sterilised equipment and ensure containers are wiped down with an alcohol wipe before packaging.

We may use re-purposed packaging materials that can be re-cycled. We ask you dispose of the packaging by re-using or placing in the appropriate re-cycling bin. The glass jar and lid are all re-cyclable.  The peanut packing is compostable.  The polyfoam inserts are environmentally friendly, they can go in the plastics re-cycle bin. We will also provide a return postage paid envelope for regional areas where the polyfoam inserts are not accepted for recycling.

Ingredients

Our Comfrey ointment is prepared using Australian sourced ingredients when available. Seasonally we may source ingredients offshore but they will always be certified organic.

Organically grown using the Permaculture method, dried comfrey leaf and root, certified organic calendula flower petals, certified chemical and preservative free cold pressed Australian sweet almond oil and West Australian organic beeswax.

Please note in response to our customer base feedback we have phased out the use of Lavender oil.

We use almond oil for its healing properties of Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Zinc perfect for skin care and massage. 

The current ratio mix for the calendula mix is:

calendula = 8%, comfrey = 10%, nettle = 2%, oil = 80%.
