NatureByFeathers Organic Comfrey Ointment a topical balm  

Our Comfrey mix has the primary ingredients of Almond oil, Comfrey and beeswax. Almond oil has beneficial properties of Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Zinc. Beeswax has anti-fungal properties and is gentle on the skin.

Please note in response to our customer base feedback we have phased out the use of Lavender oil.

The ointment is NOT cream based and has an expected one-year shelf life if kept out of sunlight in a cool dry place.

We use sterilised equipment and ensure containers are wiped down with an alcohol wipe before packaging.

We may use re-purposed packaging materials that can be re-cycled. We ask you dispose of the packaging by re-using or placing in the appropriate re-cycling bin. The glass jar and lid are all re-cyclable.  The peanut packing is compostable.  The polyfoam inserts are environmentally friendly, they can go in the plastics re-cycle bin. We will also provide a return postage paid envelope for regional areas where the polyfoam inserts are not accepted for recycling. 

Ingredients

Our Comfrey ointment is prepared using Australian sourced ingredients when available. Seasonally we may source ingredients offshore but they will always be certified organic.

All the ingredients are organically grown using the Permaculture method, the comfrey leaf and root are air dried without any forced heat, the Australian cold pressed sweet almond oil is certified chemical free & preservative free. The beeswax is certified organic from Western Australia. (WA is a Varro mite free zone)

The mix ratio and strength

The current batches of the Comfrey Ointment are now the following ratio:

Comfrey Leaf flower = 6%, Comfrey root = 6%, Almond oil =88%

This is a 12% mix which will now be the standard ratio.

A ratio of 15% can be selected under choose option for the 70g glass jar or aluminium tin.

The 15% selection has a ratio mix of comfrey leaf/flower 8.5% & comfrey root 6.5%.
